It was a beautiful evening, and I enjoyed the cool air on my doorstep. I sat in front of my house, watching the people pass by on the streets. Suddenly, I saw a group of women buying sweet potatoes from a seller who was a farmer. His loud voice echoed through the streets as he called out to anyone who wanted to buy his sweet potatoes.

Bullock cart with rice hubs.

I was immediately transported back to my childhood days, when I used to go to the farm fields with my family. We used to work hard in the fields, but we always returned home in the evening with hearts full of satisfaction. On the way back, we would make plans for the next day’s tasks and reminisce about our past memories.

As I watched the women buy sweet potatoes from the farmer, I couldn’t help but feel nostalgic. The sweet potatoes were wrapped in dry rice husks and loaded onto a bullock cart, pulled by two bulls. Seeing the bullock cart reminded me of the times when we used to travel in similar carts on our way back home.

The women were bargaining with the farmer to buy the sweet potatoes at a reasonable price, and the farmer was trying to sell them at the highest price possible. It was a common scene in our village, and I smiled as I watched them haggle. Eventually, the deal was struck, and the women left with their sweet potatoes.

As the seller finished his business and left, the street became quiet again. I sat there lost in my thoughts, reliving my childhood memories. It was such a wonderful evening, and I was grateful for the sweet reminder of my past.
